On Day 15, on the third Friday of its release, Chhaava earned Rs 13 crore, as per a report in Sacnilk, taking the total box office collection in India to Rs 412.5 crore nett.

Chhaava had an overall 17.56% Hindi occupancy on Friday, with maximum occupancy of 28.48% in the night shows and minimum occupancy of 9.22% during the morning shows.

Vicky Kaushal played Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharajfcl-777, while Rashmika Mandanna played his wife Maharani Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna portrayed the role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and Diana Penty was seen as Aurangazeb's daughter Shehzadi Zinat-un-Nissa Begum. Ashutosh Rana essayed Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, and Divya Dutta played Soyarabai.
